Re-Understanding of Battle Summoners
OK, so Right now, i am a lvl 100 BS with maxed jlvl and skills besides bloody arrow. Im currently running a ardent dirk and devouring shield on an attack speed build but i know that my speed is pretty bad. Clean ive got about 160 attack speed with Vit/Attack Speed stones on all my gears. On my belt right now is an s3 tortus
, and an s2 orc. My rings are devouring r5 luck ring and voracious luck ring. Here are the pets that i have with me.
Pets
s0 23 harpy
s0 102 Hawk +12
s4 fresh wolf
s3 low rp
s2 fresh wolf
I have only got 60 mil in the bank because of my harpy which i have just bought, and the wolf that im staging up.
Which Builds would be optimal for me once i am able to obtain more cash? By this I mean, should i switch to staff now, change up pets, stones, and gears, or add to the build that I am fronting now. Along with the build idea, what will allow me the survivability to say, solo in PP1/HCPP or (If possible) Sanc in the future? Which belts will be best for that sort of soloing where my pets arent tanking and just supporting me.
What pets should i be aiming for (reasonable thoughts, not an s5 DT
) in the near future and along with a main(What im spending my money on now is trying for an s5 wolf which ive gotten decently far into), a dder and healer. For a healer which would suit more for dp/ vulcanos soloing?
Really, what im asking for in this post is, insight on the classes that are: The Battle Summoner, and the later Overlord.
Thank you in advance for your helping me.

Re: Re-Understanding of Battle Summoners
Its totally ok to go for mêlée BS In the early stages of the game.
According to your post, you have a 2 slot belt. I woudl spend a view million in upgradekits ( the normal once from the npc/drop) and upgrade it to 4 slots (the max without cashshop).
Belt:
try to trade the orc and the tortus for 2 staged panteras ( ye higher the better). Those will increase your patack/str.
Lvl your fresh harpie for belt and get an additional one or staged skell
those will increase your atackspeed (greatly so).
The hawk and the wolfs are good mêlée dd pets for their prize.
For your overlord decision.
At the moment, the way to go is Mage but when part 4 releases, dirk will probably become a good alternative again.
Either way you have to choose your pets accordingly, because of the passives an overlord gets (beside other things, the str transfer owner to pet or int transfer owner to pet)
All in all, Magepets benefit from a staff wielding OL more than a mêlée pet and vice versa.
Basically its:
HCdp / Pvp /farming = staff
Bossgrind/solo nm = Dagger
If you want to go mage, keep the RP- stage it more, thats the best you can do with a low budget. And aim for a Naga as Mainpet in the longer run (unitysalve/decent dd awesome for pvp).

Re: Re-Understanding of Battle Summoners
I actually have a 4slo belt and now it's filled with what i could get my hands on which is: s0 102 hawk, s2 41 Orc, s0 40 Sally, and s3 45 tort.
Along with those updates I also switched my stones to atkspd/ str boosting my damage a ton! My new main pet is a 123+25 Hawk. I sold my harpy after staging it to buy this hawk with 60m left over also. I'm spending part of it on staging my wolf to s5(hopefully today) but it's probably gunna cost about 30m more bu I won't spend that all at once.
So as for my main question, switching over to staff at Ol would be the smartest choice. Which tier? 1 or 2?

Re: Re-Understanding of Battle Summoners
What I would do on a battle summoner (and what I have done) is use dirk build up until you hit master class / r7 and then switch over to staff (my belts here are 2 matk/int pets, 2 sirens, and 2 yetis but that requires a 6 slot, so for 4 you might want to do 2 matk/int, 1 siren, and 1 yeti)
Before then to use a dirk I would get 2 skellies/harpies for belt and 2 orcs/hawks/high staged panteras for the str/patk stats.
Dirk build is going to work way better than spamming normal fire arrow (which to do enough damage with at low levels is difficult with the massive mp drain it gives you).
But at r7 staff is way more powerful. Life leech heals you A TON (which helps both soloing / hard mode parties (you don't do normal mode anymore) / farming (with a bad staff you can still 3 shot champ mobs in crystal mountain).
As for your questions: Use the 123 hawk to tank for yourself and get a blue pixie to heal with, and then you can probably solo your way until 110 and the sanctuary with the hawk tanking / bp healing. Switch over to staff overlord when you hit r7. You might have to use fire arrow for part of the last master class platform if you want to switch gears right away, but when you hit master class you will definitely want to be using inferno fire arrow. I think with my belt pets and my +0/10 running staff it hits 40k/shot with a chip.
Also, you may want to get yourself some mage pets because in hard mode parties at 150+ most of the time you're killing the mob while it's moving, especially if the party has a good killspeed.
