9x3 = 27% + same stat bonus 28% ... i don't think you get 1% for each pet which in turn makes it 30%

K in that case I take back some of my comments. but to my understanding when you stack the same stat, you get an bonus 1% for each. 2 of the same stat gives +2%, 3 of the same +3%, etc... You should know this.

2 s0 kentas give 15% + 15% = 30% + same stat bonus of 2%.. = 32%
2 s4 octo's give 15% + 15% = 30% + same stat bonus of 2% = 32%
4 s2 hawks give 7% + 7% +7% +7% = 28% + same stat bonus of 4% = 32%
3 s5 hawks give 9% + 9% +9% = 27% + same stat bonus of 3% = 30%

so let me get this straight, for example if i belt 2 x s3 octo then i'll get max 30% int/matk stats because of the 2% same stat bonus added on to 28% ? so i dont rly have to spend more money on s4 for max bonus, is that correct?

no

2 s4 octo gives 15% each = 30% + 2% bonus = 32% overall
2 s3 octo gives 14% each = 28% + 2% bonus = 30% overall

you can get maximum 30% base + whatever bonus
