It needs to be said that this only goes for monsters that link aggro in the first place. Of the monsters that link, they will only link with the same type of monster, as described.
Like many other players, I've been hacked. All my pets are gone. No one else IRL uses my computer. I scan for viruses. Cheers Rappelz. It's been fun. Thanks everyone for a great time. 5/20/2011.

This is true. An example is in LM the P2 (pigs 2) room. There are 2 groups of 3 Pigs in there. And while they are the 'same' species (pig) visually, they are not the same species in there names. One group is Barbarian and the other is Scrotum. A Barbarian will not link to a Scrotum and vice versa. In that sense, the name of the mob has more affect on whether they will be linked than the visual aspects. Looking alike does not mean they will share aggro or be linked when you pull one.

i dunno if this was stated before (alot of replies to go through after guide) but one of the main things i like to check out before popping an ss is the healers mp. once entering a room i usually prefer to kill for a few min before popping ss to check out kill speed and other factors, after seeing that the kill speed is very nice i check to see how often the healer needs to heal and how bad is his/her mp after only a few min. if the healer needs to be popping teas and mp pots AND need scrolls constantly just to heal the dp then dont expect it to last an hour even if the kill speed is good, i've experienced this in a few pts with my bk and i can say for sure that if a healer with a bp cannot properly heal the pt (not the healers fault at all, just a poorly made pt) then i wont be able to help with having half the mp as the healer and one heal that takes a grotesque amount of mp. all in all dont pop an ss if u see the healers mp being overused
p.s. i am not blaming healers at all, i love my healers its just that sometimes the pts arent well made or in one room too deep

Some healers can be to blame. Most of them try their best and it's really hard to hate on someone who is willing to take deaths and more deaths in order to DP, but sometimes the healer just isn't up to par.

Most of it has to do with having an adequate healing card (+2 for lower ranks, +3 for higher ranks) and choosing the proper healing spell combo to use.

There are plenty of healers who just CAN NOT keep their MP up for the life of them. A lot of players don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and especially not a healer who puts so much on the line to DP, but there are so many healers who in Palmir just can't heal beyond a 3-mob room with VERY limited damage.

When these healers get to R6 and enter the Temple of Ancients it will lay their DPs flat on their face and very severely exaggerates differences in DPs that perform and those that don't. Teamwork errors are exaggerated, Healer and tank and crowd control deficiencies are party-wipe triggers. Up until TOA, the name of the game is Damage per Second, but in TOA, DDers are a dime a dozen.

The best way to make the most of a bad healer party (or sometimes a badly formed party) is to take the lead and start calling MP scroll rounds on the healer. Whenever your scroll is cooled, call "Everyone use MP scroll on the healer now." and make a point to call the party out when you only see 1 or 2 scrolls going off and the rest of the DP being stingy (or ill-prepared with supplies for DP.) I found that another good tip is to suggest that players MP scroll the healer more so that the DP can resume killing at a faster pace. When players equate using their items with more Exp gain, they don't hesitate so much as when they feel like you are just bugging them to contribute to the DP.
