Forgot the skill name but pet classes have a skill to increase experience gained on pets. That skill allows non summoned pets to gain experience.

As a non-petclass the second pet will not receive exp if it is not summoned when the mob dies. Only pet classes have a passive skill that allows that.

Re: 2nd pets on non pet class
pretty sure a non-pet class does not have a passive for creature breeding like the pet class.

On a non-petclass your pets don't gain any xp when they're not summoned.

Re: 2nd pet on a non pet class????
sure they dont get exp
the second and third slot for non pet classes was just made to switch pets easier, (bp ress for example)
non pet classes complained about desummon, deeuip, equip other pet, summon, action, desummon, deeuip, equip first pet again and resummon
so now they can have several pets in formation and just summon a second pet to change pets or do a action like ress, which saves not just time
it was never ment that non pet classes can lv 2 or 3 pets now

Re: 2nd pet on a non pet class????
But you can level two pets on a non-petclass:
- Pull mob
- Hit until mob has 5~10% HP left
- Pull second mob and tank both mobs
- Attack until second mob has 5~10% HP left
- Dual summon second pet for 10 sec
- Kill both mobs while dual summon lasts
If you can tank really well then you could pull up to 3/4 mobs for greater effect. Luckily the SummonCreature skill does not get delayed while being hit.
This also works great together with Ursa bosscard, since you can time your kills for when the lucky clover buff activates. When I did this while soloing on Sanct I could get like ~40% of the kills to happen while the lucky clover buff was active.
Need to remember repair dura frequently though, cause it will go down quite fast.
