I want information on the shadow hunter

I want to ask about shadow hunter and what are the strengths and weaknesses
And a pet that suits him

Is it better than the assassin or not

Strengths:
1) In dps you use dusk style and get no threat. This means you can make an all offensive build and never have to worry about pulling agro.
2) Extremely fast run speed in dungeons. This is good for running to spots, excellent in TAs as well as in seiges.
3) Very good field farming class.
4) An extremely high powered skill spam.
etc....

Weaknesses:
1) 5% stun rate on thunderbolt skill. Combined with the also low proc rate of stun shaft and blinding shot, in PvP you will not have much ways of stopping opponents except for landing headbreaker (fear). The sleep skill is ok but the cast time makes it a bit difficult to pull off versus seasoned players.

Best Pet: Harpy. If you cant afford one get a red pixie. I personally use a siren but I have my reasons for that choice.

Never played assassin so I can't say but for me dual weilding striders did not have the same aappeal as xbow striders so I went the shadow hunter path.

I use a Bp on my SH and love it. It really helps to have the heals. The Unity helps a little with the MP regen also. I equiped her with a 2H mace and warrior armor so she can do a little extra damage and get her defense up abit. I want a Harpy but I wont hold my breath

If you wonder which pet is the best between Siren and Blue Pixie:
Siren = Accuracy
Farm at really high lvl, and hit very high lvl players in pvp
Siren is built as a Rp / Bp, but only has debuffs skills. The rest is melee attacks -_-

Blue Pixie = Mp regen + Heals
You still can farm at high lvl (SH has the highest Accuracy), hit higher lvl players, get your Mps back while farming, get some healings.

Make your choice ^_-

uhh... basicly... sirens are crap outside pvp xD
more accuracy? SH already got by faaar the top in accuracy (high base dex + full dex build + dex rings + concentration selfbuff...)
Debuffs? except for bosses, those debuffs won't get enough time to make themself useful.
ranged melee attacks? okay, they have those... but... well, they got the lowest str of all pets (except for the angel O.o) and no attack skills. blue pixies actually got higher str

So, yes sirens are only useful in pvp (and boss fights). In pvp, they go well with the SH because of their movement debuff, which works nice in combination with the high movement speed and pushback skills of the SH. Also, the sirens accu debuff is a great combination with the huge evasion of the SH. Another reason why the siren is useful for the SH is because SH can get in trouble doing more than scratching their opponents, because of characters high def... which get reduced nicely with the last sirens debuff.
And another reason why the siren is nice for the SH in pvp, is because it makes the SH able to hit with sleeping dust (normally it can give trouble, because sh got crappy m.acc. sirens toggle boost m.acc as well). And the last reason i can think of why a siren is nice for a SH in pvp, is because a siren will land her fear without problems. And SH got a lack of disablings, so an extra fear is very useful for them.

... but no, pve is nothing for the siren ^^. So if you aren't planning to pvp (much), you really should pick the pixie (unless you got another reason why you really like a siren ^^)

Strengths: Drain Arrow, refills your MP no problem. Once you get your important skills, this will refill your MP bar 100%. 3 different styles let you play differently depending on your preference. Dusk gives no agro, Burning ups your crit ratio and damage, Agile raises your movement speed. Poison Shot is beast. 3 second cool rate and great damage. Fast attack speed. Couple of AoEs but they're kind of MP expensive to use at lower levels. Great for sieges and running in dungeons.

Weaknesses: No reliable stuns. PVP will usually end up with you getting wiped out. Squishy. No self heals. Can't think of anymore that haven't been mentioned at the moment.

for starters - use rp, in any situation
for verterans - use siren, in any situation, this pet is MASSIVELY undervalued

If you cannot answer that based on the above posts, I'd suggest going with the blue pixie.

It's all about playing style. Personally, I use a BP. But that's because I never really felt like getting a Siren and I enjoy the heals that the BP gives you.

Yeah about pets its really about your choice and playing style!!
Honestly! I'd say go for a range pet.. makes farming much easier..
Ideal dream pet would be harpy!!
because of its range, damage and ..mainly because I love harpy : )
Yeah BP is the next choice after harpy..
Equip it with a 2H mace to get some decent damage ..
and it heals you when u r red! what more can u ask??
plus its blue and " Blue makes me happy!!"

Siren?
U know what ? get a Siren!!
Siren should be ur alt. Pet..
no!! not for belt..also not for accuracy or mana regen..
SH've Concentration buff and Drain arrow for that.

Its li'l tricky to use for 1st timers but..
Siren has the best debuffs and crowd control skills.
In in dps siren is more reliable than a BP..when your tank can't aggro all the creeps that u pulled..or when u 're mobbed by creeps.

Now why would SH be mobbed ?
Its true we're truly invincible in DP. Well! almost..
with our duskstyle n subtle enimity buff we dont attract mobs and are the last to die(or do we die? not really!! Agile style+ sudden rush+deep evasion= escape : )
Now if u understand SH's true role in dp you'll know why?
1.we're pullers- more effective than archers coz of our movespeed and ablity to single out creep without attracting mobs(dusk style)
but sometimes Shit happens!! and more shit happens when your tank cant aggro them all( siren to the rescue : )

2.After Solus Aurum healers are Mob magnets..and when creeps start to attack healer who's stiing preety! and away from the tank. We pull them to us with provoke shot..same goes for other stray creps harrassing your mages. (Remember: we never never let the healers die in dp even if its @ the cost of ur life..aHH!)(only if there were a siren to save you : )

Other reasons for getting a Siren are for Boss hunt and PVP.
I,m going in detail on that..
Bottom line is : "Sirens are Sexy and Beautiful !!"

how is siren to the rescue? if there is a problem where a SH is getting agro, a siren debuff on 1 mob wont do anything. I would think buring style, AoE skill, deep evasion and a BP heal would go alot farther to saving the DP

again dont understand the pull with provoke shot. if your DP is in trouble pulling mobs with +20% atk buff to a hunter is not the solution. If the healer is getting attacked, I think the knockbacks and deep evasion with a BP restor again woudl go farther then a sirens debuff.
