Did i just get lucky.. or

I just started playing so forgive me if later on things change but im currently unstoppable as a barbarian. I installed the game and immediatly decided i would be a 2handed big hitter class. I usually play the tank in games and i wanted to be able to take a class that could also tank to get by if needed.

So im a barbarian level 14 with a lev5 2hand axe from trainee camp.
Im 1shot critting mobs my level for 700. Is the game this easy or did i find my job class on the first try?!

And the idle rest of the axe on the shoulder is pretty dirty. I cant wait to see some end game gear sets.

And can somene tell me what the hell this sparticle is doing for me?!

I currently havent spent any points in having a pet. After browsing thru these forums ive learned that this is a pet game! So here is my next question, do i bother witht he pet now or just worry about it later for the 10% vit buff? Im not a pet person, plus i mean im already one shotting mobs, do i need to thro in a pet to?

Spiracles are consumed when you use certain skills. As a bowfighter I can't tell you which ones melee use. Energy charge, which helps you recover hp and a small amount of mp consumes a spiracle for each level of the skill.

I'd get a pet as soon as possible. They aren't necessarily useful at lower levels when the mobs are easy, but the sooner you get one the closer it will be to your level, and thus the more helpful it will be later. If nothing else you can get a blue pixie for the heals and mp recovery.

Well you hit the best class on the nose. ATM I am doing criticals of 3K. We can do mass amount of damage and tank if we have too. Spiracles are a must later in the game. You can use them to heal, and buff yourself. At higher levels you can also shoot them at targets with spiracle cannon and such.

For a pet I would suggest a turtle or poultry for the time being. The ortus have a nice skill at lvl 40 which gives you a Vitality boost when it is equiped to your belt. The chicken at higher levels is a pretty good attacker (fast attack, lots of evasion). Use one of those until you can get a blue pixie (very expensive 12 mill untamed, 20 mill tamed about). Pixie makes a perfect healing slave making you virtually unstopable.

Hey thanks for the responses they help alot.

yeah atm im hitting at level 22 for 1k! and now that i figured out the whole pet situation i have 3 pets. I leveled 1 turtle full attacks and + Apwr JP's and i bust him out when i need to all out dps something 10 levels higher than me. And i have a second turtle that has his taunt maxed and +Def maxed so he can tank. The third pet i tried was the chicken because of his evasion i figured that might work as a better tank if he cant be hit. So far hes low level still so ill find out tonight when i jump on and catch it up.

I learned the Spiracle heal aswell, its awesome. I use it every time the cooldown is up so i never have to stop grinding. This class is truly fun and amazing.

I found 2 +2 cube-strikes yesterday so now my r2 axe is +2 lvl 2 and hits so hard! =D

this game is pretty fun.

Now all i need to do is find a guild that needs a good damage/tank
