Hey I'm new and I'm curious. I already read about the differences and advantages/disadvantages between the different weapons/builds for fighters. But I wanna know now what you see most commonly, especially from level 30 onwards.

The reason for this is that I want to know what is more in-demand for Dungeon Parties. If there are too many Bow fighters then pullers probably aren't that in-demand, etc.

So what have you seen to be the most common/popular among Fighter builds?

From what I have experienced.... In E3 I was a sword/bow fighter which was really fun. In E4 that changed as I can no longer efficiently have a melee/bow fighter. There just isn't enough JP to go around. I have settled for going with a dual axe build with nothing in bow skills as that suits my prefered playing style. I kept my bow though so I can still pull if a party needs a puller. I don't do much damage with it but that just gives the tank an easier job of pulling the mob off of me, win-win. So I guess the answer is go with what you like playing the most. You should be able to go DD or puller no matter which skills you choose. You can put weapons in the quick slots so switching between them is easy.

Actually I dont see many fighters in dmr/field and when I do they are bow fighters. @ lvl 48 I am one of the few 2hand axe fighters I see. Who knows though, may just be the times that I log on or mabey the server I am on. But of the fighters I ahve seen most are bow fighter, a couple are dual axe fighters and the remainder use 2 hand axe. I once encountered a fighter in dmr still using shield and 1hand sword.

I think the guy with the sword and shield was my guild mate. He got a very good upped sword pre-E4 for his fighter and was using a shield till he could pick up a second one. After E4 there wan't much point to using swords with a fighter and he was close to R3 so he just stuck with what he had till he went R3. I laughed at him on a regular basis.

I have been seeing a lot more bowfighters lately. They make awesome farmers as with a good upped bow you can just stand and kill everything around you, picking up what you want. I'm sure you have seen the fields of gold created in this manner.
