Been away too long, advice? Kahuna to Druid skills

Ok I will start by saying I have been away for about 2 1/2 years from Rappelz. Just got back into it with my husband recently. So many changes!

I decided I wanted to start a new character, I chose a Kahuna. Now I have poked abit through the present guides and posts and most are quite old. I've heard about certain job skills that have been gimped since I last played (Which is about the date on most of the posts)

I don't want to skill my Kahuna wrong. (She is going to Druid btw.)

So all I want to know is what skills are useless? I have heard alot say, "Just level w/e you want...they will all be maxed eventually."

Ok I can do that, but I just want to know if anything is truly useless/gimped/etc. And what skills are crucial.

The only real bugged skills that you NEVER should use (until you become magus)* are:
-Gale of Reflection
-Reflection of the Soul


* Once you become magus you'll have a passive that decreases the CD of "Deadly Petrifaction" every time you cast the reflection skills.

Ok I am level 53 now, Kahuna.

I know I will max out everything eventually. BUT is there any skill(s) that is truly worthless?
