So, Mercenaries.

Hey Dev's,

You just completely forgot about the Mercenary class, or you're just waiting to give us a nice suprise? *in a perfect world*

First off, we're already among one of the most under-powered out of the master classes, we got no real boost at all - whereas our counterparts, Templars, seemed to get a huge one (with an even bigger boost coming in the next epic part) which leads me to my next rage.

Templars get a chance to silence the opponent and increase p.atk of their self whilst at the same time having a chance to get stack-able block.def increase.

Now, 2H Maces, +42 Wis and increased creature xp gain.

Breeders are not the only [cheddar] class which use 2H mace you [cheddar] idiots.

Atleast consider all the classes in your game, k thanks.

Karma's a b*tch o.o
I do feel sorry for the other mercenaries out there, but any discomfort you got from the updates, you had it coming. :|

@billexzeal: So you think I'm a noob or a prick?

Anyway back on topic, while mercs could get a few fixes for their MC skill trees, it's not a completely lost cause.

As for part 4, just use 2h axe. The so called "Stun Mace" skill no longer requires a mace (not that skill is overly useful, but it is one more spam). The only big loss is Stun Mace Perfection (which is a real shame).

But the +15% crit rate, +50 str and +6 atkspd bonus of the new MC dura 2h axe is just too big to ignore. Together with the new Explosion dura bonus it should be piece of cake to reach 90% crit rate and 200% crit power without any koala belts.

Maybe you are not aware of this, but the MC warrior set has the best set bonus of them all. I mean, +10% Patk and +10% crit rate is huge. And with the new enchant bonus, the warrior MC set will be one of the best gear sets.

But what did mages get? 2h MC staff has +70 int and +40% MP recovery (lol, mp recovery, of all things ). Or if they go magewall then +4% Int and +35 Int (plus halved bonus from 1h staff), while nice pales in comparison to 2h axe bonus. Then theres the MC set bonus, 10% Int (nice), 10% wis (nice), 10% mres (nice for PvP), 10% mdef (lol), 10% macc (nice), +1000 maxMP (ok, i guess). Note the lack of Matk or Castspd.

And what did petclasses get? Mage petclasses get same weapons as mages. Beastmasters get the best side of the deal with their dual 1h axe (similar bonus as 2h axe). But the issue is with MC set bonus, 10% dex (ROFL!!!), 10% wis (ok if magic build), 10% mdef (lol), 10% castspd (nice if mage), 10% mres (ok for PvP), +1000 MP (ok if magic build). Overall not a great set bonus and totally useless for Beastmasters/melee OL/MB.

Hunters also got some good stuff waiting for them in part 4 (well, mainly SHs).

I personally just want to see people starting to shout again for tanks to DP in new dungeon. I want to hear all those mages whining how the new tougher, faster moving, ranged mobs 2 shot their glasscannon builds. I want to be able to tell them "it's your own fault your died, learn to control your aggro". :P

Templars suck compared to templars /thread.

Sure getting block defense gives stats, but who the hell wants to stack block defense compared to crit power ;D.

ruthless gear, block def/crit pow stones... full crit pow and pimped armor and shield give ya plenty of defense and hp from the hp passive...

Merc isn't terrible, it's just needs a little more boost.
The cast time aint the main issue, the MP usage is, 730 MP use per cast is waaaay too much (specially when combined with shorter cooldown WildStream, which is on that same tree ).

I wouldn't mind the cast time on Deathblow if it was ranged. I think it would be a perfect continuation of the line up of ranged nukes Soldier has (ie. DivineFlare, DivineFlash, JudgmentBuster and JudgementOfTheGoddess).
