I've been meaning to comment on TDKR, anyone else bothered by Bane's faux-Connery accent? I realize it's probably not fake, but it still kept me from taking him seriously.

I still grit my teeth every time they mispronounce Ra's al Ghul. And WHAT THE [cheddar] DID THEY DO TO TALIA?! Look, I get it, he wants to make it more "real" and "believable" and tie all this together in a cute little package, so I ignored his total screw over of Harvey Dent, and I accepted the pointless (and trite) name change to "League of Shadows," and I pretended not to notice that Mr. Bale has absolutely NO connection with ANY of his female love interests (that last kiss with Holmes at the end of the first movie...yuck), and I was even willing to ignore the odd choice of actress for Selena Kyle, but then...then they had to go and [cheddar] with my two favorite characters - Talia and Bane. I just...zzz. Stupid. And who the hell is John "Robin" Blake?! I'LL TELL YOU WHO HE IS. JUST SOME STUPID MADE UP NAME TO MAKE YOU THINK "oooo sequel!" BUT HE IS NO ONE. "Hurr, we don't wanna make him Tim Drake, so we'll just make him John Blake! AND ADD ROBIN IN THERE FOR GREAT JUSTICE! Fan's'll love it! DERRP!" Yeah, I got some bitterness. See what you did, Fen. D:

I did cry pretty much every time Alfred opened his mouth, though. And I really liked that all the lies and secrets came tumbling out. Other than that, this whole series of movies is too man-drama for me.

I liked the trilogy, tbh, it's not the end-all Batman, though and this particular movie suffered greatly from the lack of Ledger. Bane is kinda bland (not just in this movie) and I was already spoiled on the big tweest, so I was just waiting for how they were managing it. I still liked the movie, wasn't too much of a fan for the ending (Blake was a little Mary Sue ish for my taste, not to mention that Batman is a [cheddar] ninja, no amount of street smarts and police training can substitute for that)

Alfred had me welling up, I have to admit, damn that man can act.

Heh, I loved Bane. (The real Bane, not this newest pale shadow.) I wanted to marry him when I was younger. :p I was equally annoyed with the craptastic version of him in the Clooney-era Batman (BAAAAAARFFFFF) - in fact, that mindless automaton, slave of Ivy version of him ticked me off even more. But at least he had SOME things in common with the real Bane - the one in TDKR was like a totally different character. "Let's give him a mask and make him a little muscley and people will accept that he's Bane!" Hell, he had more in common with The Shredder than Bane...

Maybe I should tag this as a spoiler? but whatever - I 100% say that the movie would have been much, much better if Wayne had actually sacrificed himself. What's wrong with a semi-tragic ending? Are people incapable of handing them, or is it just about the money? (because you can't continue a series if you kill off your main characters, unless your last name is Martin) I don't know. It felt like a poorly written fanfiction by the end. Let's make it all happiness and roses because we don't want people to feel icky.

there were so many problems with the movie. bane should have been jacked up on steroids and drugs. if that guy was robin batman should have recognized him as robin right away. and how the whole plot line was started with the robing of the NYSE that is just not how you would do it you never can because the moment there is a security breach like that the exchange has an automatic kill switch which would have shut down trading for the rest of the day. part of the security measures placed after the great depression. and beyond that when they went wireless and it said 8 mins left how did it go from middle of the day to middle of the knight in 8 Mins.
