Account Ownership
Players do not own gPotato accounts. All gPotato accounts are the sole property of Gala-Net, Inc., as outlined in our Terms of Service.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, you acknowledge and agree that you shall have no ownership or other property interest in the Account, and you further acknowledge and agree that all rights in and to the Account are and shall be owned solely and exclusively by Gala-Net.
This means that the account is not your property, and may not be sold, traded, or given to another person.
- Account Sharing
Account sharing is expressly prohibited by the gPotato Terms of Service. While the Rappelz Team understands that there do exist some benign instances of account sharing (for example, a parent sharing an account with a child under 13 years old), you are responsible for all actions that occur on your account. If someone else uses your account and breaks the rules, we will treat the situation as if you have broken the rules. Further, if your account information is compromised, Customer Service will be unable to assist you.
If in the course of investigating a rules violation we find that an account has been shared, then the account may be banned to prevent further rules violations.
Account Trading
Attempting to trade, sell, or give away your gPotato account will result in an immediate and permanent ban on your account. All items, characters, and other data on the account will be forfeited. Remember: your gPotato account is not your property. It is not something you can give away.
Theft Prevention
To prevent theft of your account data, there are five things to do:
- DO NOT share your account password with ANYONE
- DO NOT log in to anyone else's account
- Make a strong password that does not resemble anything related to your account
- Use reputable anti-virus software & keep it up-to-date
- Use only well-known & trusted websites and programs
Account security is your responsibility. Follow the above precautions at all times. If your account is compromised and Customer Service finds that you have not followed these precautions, then we may not be able to offer you assistance.
We will NEVER ask for your password. Please report anyone asking for your password or anyone else's password by sending an e-mail with screenshots to rappelz@gala-net.com.
